Project Overview

The homeowners are a busy family needing to maximize space in a compact home. The existing space was narrow and dark, so we aimed to establish more circulation and light. By removing a dividing wall and adding a supporting beam, we were able to provide a large island that allows the space to feel larger, and also provide more prep space. A pantry wall was ideal with a limited footprint and has added features like in-door spice racks and pull-out shelves. The aesthetic includes clean-lines and a neutral, earthy palette.
